Offset Marine Ask about your yacht
For San Diego yacht owners

Your yacht is an expense.
We turn it into an asset.

Most yachts leave the slip a few days a month, yet the maintenance costs run round the clock. Offset Marine turns your yacht into a revenue-generating asset whenever you don't enjoy it. We bring the guests, the qualified crew, the paperwork and the revenue sharing. You keep your yacht, your slip and your vessel name on the transom.

The numbers

What a yacht costs to hold. What it can return instead.

Every owner knows the cost side. Few have modeled the revenue side. Move the sliders to see what a modest charter calendar does to the numbers for a yacht like yours.

  • Slip and liveaboard-free dock fees$12,000 to $24,000 / yr
  • Insurance$3,000 to $8,000 / yr
  • Maintenance, haul-out, bottom$6,000 to $15,000 / yr
  • Days it actually leaves the slipoften under 30

Ranges are typical carrying costs for a 40 to 50 foot yacht in a San Diego marina. Your numbers are the ones that matter, and we'll run them with you.

How it works

Four steps. None of them land on your desk.

  1. Walkthrough

We come to your slip, assess the yacht the way a paying guest will, and give you a straight read on readiness and revenue potential.

  2. Onboarding

Photography, listing, charter agreement and coverage for your vessel. You block the dates you want the yacht for yourself. That's the whole setup on your side.

  3. Operations

Inquiries, quotes, deposits, licensed captain and crew, provisioning, fuel, turnaround and the guests. You get the report, not the workload.

  4. Distributions

A monthly statement itemizes every charter: gross, direct costs and your share. Your distribution lands by direct deposit.

Offset

Your yacht, your name, our operation.

For well-kept yachts that spend most of the month tied up. We list your vessel under its own name, operate every charter, and pay you a revenue share.

  • Any sound vessel 30 feet and up, power or sail
  • Your name on the listing and the transom
  • Revenue share distributed monthly
  • You block your own dates
Flagship · by invitation

Bristol condition. Premium pricing. Top of the calendar.

A small number of vessels meet the standard for our flagship line: immaculate, distinctive, the yacht guests ask for by name. Those yachts run at the top of the rate card and book first.

  • Invitation follows a walkthrough
  • Premium rate card and first call on bookings
  • Featured in our own marketing and film work
  • A standard worth working toward

Owner questions

The questions every owner asks first.

Who is responsible if something goes wrong?

We are. Charters run under our charter agreement with a licensed captain in command. Coverage for your vessel is confirmed in writing during onboarding, before the first booking, and you see the paperwork.

Can I still use my own yacht?

Yes. You block your dates on the calendar and they are yours. Most owners block more days than they end up using, and that's fine too.

What about wear and tear?

Yachts do better run than idle. Every charter ends with a detail and a checklist, and guest damage is charged to the guest, not to you. Routine maintenance stays on a schedule we help you keep.

How are distributions paid?

Monthly, by direct deposit, with a statement that itemizes every charter: gross, direct costs and your share. No guessing and no chasing.

Which yachts qualify?

Sound vessels from about 30 feet, power or sail, with a current survey or a willingness to get one. Condition and presentation matter more than age. Some of the most requested yachts on the bay are older than their owners.

What is the upfront cost?

Nothing. Our share comes out of charters that actually run. If the yacht doesn't earn, neither do we.
